Enjoying the beautiful sunset on the shore of Barcelona could be one of the dreams of many people. My characters in the painting are very lucky to have their dream come true. They were watching me paint the sky, they saw when the sun came down and golden the tops of the buildings, when the clouds came along and when they got darker with the sky itself becoming more intense and preparing for the night.
