"The Day After" 33" x 45", 1.2011, watercolor on rough paper
The December 2010 snow storm was the 7th strongest storm in the history of New York. The work is painted of the picture I took on the next day after the blizzard. All bus lines and many subways were not working, we were very lucky that our subway line was running. I went as far as I could downtown Brooklyn and spent a few hours trying to make my way through the snow. It was beautiful! I wish though NY would be more prepared for such an occasion.
