"Sunset over Barcelona" 40"x52", I 2011, watercolor of rough paper

One summer day when I was walking around Barcelona, trough the little spanish streets, markets and squares I made my way to the shore. Evening found me there. It was a very peaceful and warm evening. Fishermen were catching their fish, that was reflecting golden lights on it's cold skin. I was watching them for a while. Then, I turned around and took the picture that was my reference to this painting. I did not know six years ago that I will be inspired to paint this work. But the memories of that golden evening are still very fresh as the breeze of the Mediterranean Sea that day.
